This solution is built on the top of the BubbleRAN’s 5G MX-PDK product and services. It includes:
- Network and Use-case Blueprints & Catalogs: A portofolio of ready-made reference solutions and use-cases for 5G/O‑RAN/AI-RAN networking with built-in tests for attach, data plane, slicing, and xApp/rApp policy loops with Two Modes, One Workflow. Emuation mode for fast development and integration cycle with reporducibility, and over‑the‑air for production‑grade experimentation and validation.
- A Powerful Toolbox: Chatbot, dashboards, and command line interface to autmate, instrumnet, observe, and visulalize each experiment, access to config/logs/PCAPs/KPIs, and live measurement utilities.
- Open Ecosystem: with network SDKs, samples, labs, API docuemntation, and many more resources.
Lab Playbooks
Choose a network blueprint, bring it up with a single command, and iterate from feature prototype → interop → PoC/demo using the same CI‑friendly workflows and observability.
1) R&D & Feature Development
- Goals: Rapid prototyping of PHY/MAC/RLC/PDCP features; O‑RAN rApps/xApps; policy and slicing trials.
- Flow: Start in MX‑ORS (emulated) → iterate fast → validate over‑the‑air in MX‑PDK → (optionally) promote to MX‑PRO profile.
- Artifacts: Scripts, configs, PCAPs, KPM time series, Grafana boards, and test reports.
2) System Test & Interop
- Goals: Regression, capacity, mobility & handover, interop across vendors/devices.
- Flow: Blueprinted topologies; cohort‑based device onboarding; scheduled change windows and rollbacks.
3) PoC & Demos
- Goals: Executable narratives for exec demos and customer PoCs (attach → KPI → policy).
- Flow: CI‑packaged scenarios with one‑click bring‑up, seeded dashboards, and scripted traffic.
4) 6G Research Tracks
- Goals: Explore new waveforms, AI‑assisted RAN control, advanced slicing/policy loops.
- Flow: Controlled emulation in MX‑ORS; OTA feasibility tests in MX‑PDK; compare KPI deltas across runs.
FAQs
1️⃣ Do we need RF hardware to start?
To Begin with, you can start with either emulated mode or SDR mode (e.g. USRP), and then extend with commercial indoor /outdoor RUs and antenas for a better covergae.
2️⃣ Can we run on‑prem or in our cloud?
Both. We recommand to start with on-perm and then extend to public cloud. Our public cloud is based on Terraform.
3️⃣ What about multi‑vendor deployment and interop?
The stack is open and O‑RAN‑aligned; we support multi‑vendor 5G stack and RUs allowing you to design and develop a multi-vendor xApp/rApp/Agent. We support both open source 5G stack including OpenAirInterface, srsRAN, Open5Gs, as well as industrial grade including LITEON and Amarisfot.
4️⃣ Where can I found documentation and lab materials?
- Open documentation is accessible here.
- xApp SDKs and samples can be found here.
- rApp/Agent SDKs and samples can be found here.
5️⃣ Why BubbleRAN?
We understand that building and maintaining a flexible 5G/6G testbed can be costly and complex, especially as technology evolves rapidly. That’s why our focus is on enabling real research impact by brinnbg new ideas into existance and not just delivering a product. At BubbleRAN, we value research and as a result we design our solutions to fit cutting edge R&D objectives unlocking innovation so that your testbed becomes a true accelerator for discovery, prototyping, and experimentation, rather than just another infrastructure investment.
BubbleRAN is here to advance your research journey and act as a trusted partner for the long run. For this reason, we help you build capabilities that deliver measurable outcomes, including:
- Innovation Acceleration: Rapidly prototype, validate, and scale new concepts in O-RAN, AI-RAN, and beyond.
- Reproducibility & Control: Conduct repeatable experiments in a controlled environment with full observability.
- Cost & Complexity Reduction: Avoid the high integration and maintenance costs of custom-built yet 3GPP/O-RAN/AI-RAN compliant labs.
- Capacity Building: Empower your teams with the tools, skills, and scalable infrastructure to lead in 5G/6G research.
