1) R&D & Feature Development
  • Goals: Rapid prototyping of PHY/MAC/RLC/PDCP features; O‑RAN rApps/xApps; policy and slicing trials.
  • Flow: Start in MX‑ORS (emulated) → iterate fast → validate over‑the‑air in MX‑PDK → (optionally) promote to MX‑PRO profile.

  • Goals: Regression, capacity, mobility & handover, interop across vendors/devices.

FAQs

1️⃣ Do we need RF hardware to start?

To Begin with, you can start with either emulated mode or SDR mode (e.g. USRP), and then extend with commercial indoor /outdoor RUs and antenas for a better covergae.

2️⃣ Can we run on‑prem or in our cloud?

Both. We recommand to start with on-perm and then extend to public cloud. Our public cloud is based on Terraform.

3️⃣ What about multi‑vendor deployment and interop?

The stack is open and O‑RAN‑aligned; we support multi‑vendor 5G stack and RUs allowing you to design and develop a multi-vendor xApp/rApp/Agent. We support both open source 5G stack including OpenAirInterface, srsRAN, Open5Gs, as well as industrial grade including LITEON and Amarisfot.
